Hy everybody I got an external WD5000LMVW-11VEDS0 drive with 2060-771949-000 REV P1 pcb, from usb pc3k cannot identify it. I swapped the pcb with 2060-771959-000 REV A. Please suggest SATA pcb for 771961. I tried with 771959 , but it does not work with WD tool to repair FW.This can help to connect only to connect the drive with computer sata port and power supply is given only through USB port.So please suggest SATA PCB which can be used to repair FW on WD fw repair tool.Thanx

Q: replace drive from broken WD USB drive using SATA disk

Hello, I have USB drive WD My Passport Ultra Disk from this drive is clickling So I would like replace this disk using SATA disk So I have very good drive with sata PCB interface WD5000LUCT-63C26Y0 PCB2060-771959-000 rev A USB damaged drive is WD5000LMVW-11VEDS6 PCB2060-771962-000 REV P1 So I replaced PCB and ROM chip between both disks Now good disk with USB PCB is recognized by Windows But in device manger when I tried incialize drive then I have error Input/Output

Q: Invalid geometry after pcb swap

WD hdd has 771959 sata board and works perfectly. Trying to test a 771962 usb board coming from a faulty drive (all heads gone). The sata hdd with the usb pcb is detected in device manager but fails to show up in disk management. Victoria says invalid geometry and 0 size. Can somebody explain why this happens and how to fix geometry?
